Cloud 9: how Circe's Rooftop keeps its Waterloo rooftop full year-round

Circe’s Rooftop opened on top of Mercury House in Waterloo in May 2024, taking over the former Bar Elba site. From bar veteran Tobias Jackson, the venue leans into a Greek mythology theme with Mediterranean small plates, theatrical cocktails, and sightlines to the London Eye, Shard and Oxo Tower.

The viral moment is the Cloud 9 pods. Heated private igloos for up to nine people, with a personal Bluetooth speaker and a bar tab, they turned into one of London’s most-shared winter date spots, with one creator post clocking over 350k reach.

Circe’s partnered with Joli to keep that cadence going across the whole programme. From ABBA brunches to summer day parties to winter pod bookings, every format gets its own creator spike, and each one sells the experience in its own language.
